Amy Radoslovich
Amy Radoslovich was born in 1980, in Seattle, WA. Her family moved to Wenatchee, and then to Cashmere where she spent her school years. Amy had a special 1st grad teacher who encouraged her to draw. She illustrated her first book, “Buckshot’s Big Surprise.” Amy’s father taught her how to draw trees, as they were surrounded by apple orchards. Amy has completed three community murals. In high school, Amy also completed a 30 foot annotated time line of U.S. history in her history teacher’s classroom. She was compelled to show that history was not just names and facts, but real people with real stories.
During her year at Western Washington University, many orange peals hung to dry from her freshman dorm room, as the spiraled peals would be Amy’s new art form, fruit art. She gained experience working in an art shop in Federal Way, WA, and learned how to frame, mat pictures. She displayed her work in three coffee houses and sold prints of one of her best pieces, “Sweet Pea.” Amy was commissioned for work by friends and family.
Amy completed her Bachelor’s of Science and Nursing from Seattle University, and moved to Bellingham, WA to work at St. Joseph’s hospital. In her bright living room looking out on the ocean, she, with the help of Robert, created her largest paintings. Amy’s art is special because it always has meaning. There is always a punch-line, an explanation of her art work, and something important to share with the world.
